Default transferring phone book from 8330 to Nuvi 265WT

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,
I was able to synch my BB 8330 with my Nuvi for the buetooth hand free function but I can't transfer my phone book to the Nuvi
The wireless synch option in the BB 8330 is "not available" and there's no options to activate it.
Is it a carrier restriction ? ( Telus Canada for me.
Thanks for the help and felle free o move my question if I'm in the wrong section.

There is no way to move the address book from a BB to a Garmin. The Bluetooth implementation in the BlackBerry doesn't support it.

I use my 8330 with my Nuvi 760, and the address book transfers just fine, as does my wife's 8830. Both berries are on Bell and at 4.5 OS
  • The berry must be paired with the garmin (obviously)
  • The nuvi must be defined as trusted
  • The bluetooth on the berry must be configured to allow Address book transfer (mine is set to "selected categories only" as I don't want to have to search through the whole list)

That's all that is needed. The nuvi will request the address book by itself, so you don't need to manually initiate a transfer.

The only reason I can see for this not working would be a BES policy setting or a carrier restriction.

Mea culpa - I was thinking about moving the Address Book to the Bluetooth in my new Toyota; that can't be done. I disable the BT on the Nuvi, so I've not tried that. Apologies for the incorrect information.
