There is also a useful feature called the debug console, which you can access from the about section: Menu->About Poynt->Debug Console. Once in the console press t to move up to the top and then you can email the dump to me by clicking on the button. Don't worry, there is no personal information sent i.e. nothing that could identify you or your device.

Yes, it works fine on wifi, however, I'm on a BB plan and not just standalone wifi. The connections settings shouldn't just be a secret setting. It should be in the options/preferences for the application.

It really doesn't matter what you use to connect. It depends on the kind of plan you're on. Some BES's require you to go through the BES for everything...others don't have a BB data plan but have a standard data plan, so TCP would be the choice in that case. If you have a BIS plan, just use that.

great update to the app! This has already become my favorite yellow page app. A few mapping updates and this will become one of the premier/must-have apps for all blackberry users

What others features would you guys like besides Google Maps integration.
Personally I'd like to see the ability to save at least 2 Favorites where it says "My GPS" and you click the arrow down, right there would be good
a. Home
b. Work
If this gets done I'll be in bb heaven

The project in its entirety, which includes the server side components that house the data, and the client, were worked on collaboratively at Multiplied Media.
Jorge... stay tuned...
John, the connection settings are set up to fail over in priority, selecting Wifi first, BES second, BIS third, WAP 4th and direct TCP 5th. If users feel it would be helpful to set a particular connection setting manually I have no problems adding that feature to the options and settings.

Many BB apps (JiveTalk, TeleNav, etc.) have these settings available to the user along with an "auto" setting of some sort. Either way is fine, though.

Thanks CELITE, like I said in my review, once upon a time a great app shows up like Viigo, Jivetalk and now we've got Mypoynt to add to that legendary list of great apps, congrats on reaching this category.
you know what would be cool, a little icon for a gas pump, nice graphics, that would be superb, what do others think ?

CELITE, couple of things I noticed when playing around with the app:
- How do you remove stored locations?
- In the Theater Name section, when searching for theaters, I get results back from Vegas, Carson City, Washington ... and the theater I was looking for is way down the list.
- Not sure if it's the simulator or the app itself, but the green light at the top moves, and sometimes is in the top middle, or closer the left side.

Oh, one more things. When you go to the Map my location section in Directions, the map is zoomed in too much. It's more of on a "house" level, rather than city or region.

I like the icon & graphics idea too except sometimes these slow down the app or take up memory.

Yes it's great now and I'm hoping it doesn't get bogged down with flashy effects.

There's always that tricky balance between good look and feel, a truly interactive experience and quick responsiveness.
But don't worry, performance does and always will sit very high on the list of priorities

perhaps you could take a look at Superpages and get some ideas.
Needed:
1. Residential lookup
2. Favorites
3. Movie reviews - stars
4. Add search to SMS, Email, Addressbook
thanks
