Default Jawbones - Which one to buy?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There,

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I've been reading a lot about the Jawbone Prime, and with its release have noticed the Jawbone 2's dropping a lot in price.

The cheapest I can find is at a company called Planetgizmo.co.uk (dont think I can currently post the link with my post count) for £40.99 though i've never used the company before so thought i'd ask for some advice here. Is the Jawbone 2's still worth getting? (and if so, is that a good deal? It goes for around that on ebay but I never want to get anything ear related on auction!) Or is it worth splashing out on the prime?

Thanks a lot in advance everyone

Thanks for the replies guys. I've seen the Plantronics 925, I think it looks a bit too futuristic for me! A friend has one and says the audio's the best he's had though.

JSanders - Im thinking you have one then! How much did you pay for yours (if you dont me asking! ) and have you by chance used the prime? Is there a big difference there?

Thanks again guys

I have not used the Prime, yet.

Currently using the Jawbone2, and I really do like it. I see them for sale on ecost.com for around $50 this past week.

Yea, I still can't come up with a justifiable reason for dropping my JB2 for the Prime (other then I want it of course)

Maybe it will be like the Stride Gum commercials, Aliph will send out thugs to broke the JB2 so they have to buy the Prime lol.

JB2 with a jabra ear gel is a superb combination. The ONLY reason I haven't used mine recently is my current car pairs nicely with the 8900, so I have VERY little use for a BT headphone these days...but so far, the JB2 is the best I've used, out of more than a dozen different BT headphones.

Default JB2 Here

I just purchased my Jawbone 2 from eBay for 36.00 + 9.00 for shipping/handling...so total 45.00. And it was well worth it. I am loving it so far. I am still experimenting which ear loop fits best...I think I am going to order the new ear buds from Aliph...supposed to fit and be more comfortable for the ears.

I've had very good luck with noise cancelling on a new Plantronics Voyager Pro.

It's in the same price range as the JB Prime.

I recently got the JB Prime to go with my 8900. It is by far the best bt headset I have ever used. There is enough ear pieces and combinations to get the right fit that I don't think that would be an issue with anyone. The fit is perfect to me, which is saying a lot because usually I am extremely picky about earpiece fit, and I can wear it for hours on end without any discomfort. I can shake my head and it never moves. Can't say enough about this unit, and it has the JawBone quality so it works great and sounds great.
