Each time I wanted to call the number start with no. 6, the Sound Profile window will show up. I have to key in other number first, then erase off before I can proceed.

Of course, I can choose to press the green phone icon, then dial the number. But sometime it is quite irritating when i have emergency call to make.

May I know how do I clear this short cut off?

pboong, perhaps you are pressing and holding the key too long. Just tap the key quickly and release. Does that bring up the sound profile?

I would say your not pressing it long enough for the speed dial to work, and therefore its bringing up the shortcut.

Nope, I didnt press and hold actually. It is just press and let go immediately. It however show me the sound profile tho.

If you wanting to simple dial a number beginning with 6:
Do this: Press the green dial key to enter the Call Log > press the Menu key > Options > General Options > Dial from Homescreen = Yes.

Yes, dial the number with the digit 6.

According to my phone, as you mentioned on the setting, it is Dial from Homescreen tho.


BTW, anyway to disable the voice dialing? Each time I accidentally press the answer / cancel button on my bluetooth, that application will be activated.

That key should NOT bring up the sound profile. That feature disappeared long ago...I don't know why it works on your BB...I wish it did on mine. Far as your voice dial goes, I believe you have it programmed to one of the side buttons. Reprogram the side button to something else and it should go away. There's seemingly some issue with your B/T device.

The BT is newly bought. That's why I have no idea how to set the short cut off. My side button is for Messenger Short Cut tho.

And further to add on abt the number 6 key, I have no idea why am i the only one facing this issue. Sigh.

only way i know to turn off voice dialing is not installing it to the phone during an os upgrade or reflash by removing the files from the loader so they will not be installed then from the bt when you press the button on it, will not load the say a command voice dial stuff.
