Default Benefits of OS 4.5?

Please Login to Remove!

I just upgraded to 4.5, thanks to all the help I found reading through this forum. What I'd like to know is what benefits I should see from the upgrade. I found the video camera, which is great! I read something about html e-mails (I took that to mean the I would see the e-mails like I would see them on a computer) but my e-mails still view like a bunch of lines of code or web addresses. Did I miss something? And what other benefits should I realize? Your continued intelligent responses are appreciated.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

There is also Documents To Go which comes with its standard, free edition. You can save and edit Word docs to your media card.

Try resending your service books. That should let you view your email in HTML. Follow this link to see all the features of 4.5:

One of the things I haven't seen mentioned in most places is the improved handling a PDF attachments. The built-in attachment viewer now automatically enhances after you zoom, and allows you to pan the enhanced view. This may seem like a minor change, but IMO it brought the viewer from the useless category into the usable category.

Docs to Go is not installed by default when you upgrade. I know it's possible to install it afterwards, but I've never done that - so someone else will need to guide you there.

For most, DocumentsToGo is installed by default with OS 4.5.

If your's did not, you need to go back to the App Loader and make sure you clicked on to install that. I see several users on the Forum here that overlooked that or for some reason it is not checked to install.

Also, look in your Applications Folder (if you have such in your theme) to see if it is there.

It's not in my Applications folder folder so it was not installed by default.
