GPS should work, but you have to change the GPS setting in options to 'Location On'

I've read on HoFo that BB Lite caused the backlight to stay on. After it was removed and the storm reset, it was ok.

I saw your post (I guess it was yours) at FreeRange Support.

Have your received any reply from FreeRange?

FreeRange reader and WSJ Online are two of my most used applications on my Blackberry. My Storm should be here today, and I may hold off activating it until they get those applications working on it.

I think this is going to be the bummer part of owning a new device. Very few of the apps running with the previous BB models have been enhanced/formatted to work with the storm.

We will probably be waiting a while for developers to get existing apps storm compatible. My biggest fear is that too many negative/mediocre reviews from the critics may make developers think that there is not enough of an interest to warrant them spending time/money making applications for the storm. So for those of us who are happy with our Storm's so far, let's get out there and spread the good word!

Yes, kind of a bummer. When I first got the Bold, it seemed like the same problem. Although I think the Storm adds a whole new dimension to equation. With the Bold, it seemed like it was just getting apps to take advantage of the higher res screen and pretty homescreen icons.
