Default Possible to distinguish among emails in the Messages folder?

Please Login to Remove!

Is it possible to distinguish among BES and BIS emails within the Messages icon WITHOUT having to open up the email? I'd like to be able to just look at the list of emails in the folder and tell which are which.

I know of no way to do that, but you can have separate icons for BES and each BIS account.

Only 2 ways to do this:

1. Buy Empower BES Mailbox

2. Have BES version 4.1.5 or greater, and activate the BES folder feature.

My solution was to create searches and save them to a shortcut key.

I have one for my personal mail (forwarded through BIS), and one for my work inbox (BES). They are easy to set up, and the results are almost immediate. Using the <ALT>A and <ALT>Z combinations allow for one-thumb access as well!

Would you be so kind as to provide details on #2. How do I tell which BES version is currently running? And, if it is at that level, will the feature just show up, or does one have to enable it somehow?

Thanks.

Here you go:

Turn on or turn off the Enterprise-Only Message Application icon in BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1.5

This is something that 99% of us have no control over though, right? It must be done by the BES admin who most likely will deny any request to turn this on.

You should be able to just turn the icon "on" for this BES accout as a seperate mailbox on your device. I have all of my separate accounts 'hidden' but I can unhide the icon that I need for any individual mailbox.

You're saying that needs to be done by the BES admin on the server, right? Are you saying this can be turned on per phone/account?
