Question How to create a shortcut for email recepient

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there, If I press and hold the M key on my Blackberry the device calls my wife. Ok, cool. But when I press and hold the A key on my Blackberry, I want the device to email my a specific person. Is there anyway to set that up.

Please help. Thanks

No. Those shortcut keys are dedicated to speed dialing. However, try this...

--- from the home screen -----

Type the first few letters of the Contact Name

Scroll to the correct Contact (then highlight the name, not the phone number)

Press menu - email (contact name)

That's it.

The homescreen method will not work on an 8800, the OS does not support universal search which is the feature you are using for your solution.

You can try an app such as Quick Launch, it has the function you require and a ton of extra features.
