Default No message services configured!

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all!

As you can tell from the title of the thread, it appears that when i try and send an email I have this dialogue box appear: 'No message services configured. save draft only'.

I have a blackberry 8300. I have been to the o2 shop and they said i needed to ring customer services. I did this, he said i need to register the phone online at o2.co.uk. But cant seem to do this!

Do any of your clever people know what i should do? Is it a simple issue?

Thanks in advance

Do you have a BLACKBERRY data plan? (Not generic data plan, but BLACKBERRY.)

Otherwise known by O2 as a Blackberry Bolt-On (to contract plans) or a Blackberry Simplicity SIM Only plan.

You may just need to go to the BIS site to get the service books downloaded.

solved! yes, correct, my service books had been erased. Also, for some reason, blackberry had my old blackberry pin for my registration details. So that was rectified and allowed me to register again.

thank you all for your help!

Hi, I'm getting the same message, but this is all jibberish to me! I thought I could buy a blackberry (second hand one) put my sim in, and bobs your uncle.. I put my sim in, managed to transfer contacts, I can call out, but get this configuration message when I try to text.
I don't even know how to open general options?
I found the below message on a forum..

"If you get this message and go to Options > Service Book and see that there is an entry for Desktop
[CMIME], then it's usually that the service book has become unregisterred with the messaging subsystem. Highlight the service book (Desktop [CMIME]) click the thumbwheel and choose delete. Once gone, click the thumbwheel and choose undelete. This will bring it back and reregister it."

Can someone please help, in simple terms?

Those instructions do not relate to SMS messages. They relate to email, so even doing that would not resolve your texting issues.

Please explain the issue with SMSing.
