Installed on a 8100, locks/hangs, buggy at best.

Upon uninstalling, it prompts for a restart, that takes a lenghty amount of time, generated an error, restarted, BB security scan ran, then I had a prompt to allow a SMS text, which I denied.

Odd.

The latest version worked out of the box for me. I kept all of the default settings. Also, I'm on T-Mobile (EDGE) and have an 8100.

However, only one station seems to be working: Megarock Radio and it stutters a lot.

Default Thanks Guys

it sort of works, but its just to slow and cuts off. The day Pandora Radio works with the Blackberry is the day I stop using my satellite radio.

Try a lower bandwidth radio station if you can. Such as talk radio.

8100 on t-mo here... took awhile to load but seems to work just fine.

*EDIT* well.... a few of the stations just just fine, anyway. Dont know if its server or software issues.

Lightbulb Some things that may help....

Hi All. I, too, had problems with this app on my 8100 and here are some things I did to get it working better:

1. For the IO Exception Tunnel Error, make sure that you have the correct TCP settings for your provider. Also make sure you have ALLOW for all of the permissions for this app and its module(s.) These TCP settings can be found at this post under "TCP/IP Settings Configuration Success Reports: www . blackberryforums.com/blackberry-network/2185-blackberry-internet-msn-chat-web-telnet-tcpip-no-bes .html#post20157

(Sorry - I Can't post URLS yet even tho i tried relative as well - maybe the Admin can edit it back.) ;)

2. I haven't been able to add a new station but I have been able replace an existing station with another one. I have done this using iTunes and Winamp using Shoutcast to find/launch stations ON MY PC...
2A. So, I went to Shoutcast.com ON MY PC, found a station, chose the 24K feed (I haven't had any luck with anything higher such as 56K - skipping gets bad when I go over 24K), launched the station using the 'Tune In' link. Once it launches in iTunes or Winamp, rt-click and choose 'View File Info (ALT+3) in Winamp or 'Get Info'' and refer to 'Where' in iTunes. Now, using that value, drop the 'http colon slash slash' part and keep the rest, as this will be your url value to use on your BlackBerry.
2B. To replace a station in RadioBee back ON YOUR BLACKBERRY, select the station and click your Menu button, choose Edit. Go to the 'url' field and replace it with your new url you got from YOUR PC.

I am still experimenting with the Buffer settings, but adding an extra 0 as mentioned above really helped and possibly a DOUBLE buffer value helped as well. I am unsure of this but I am also finding that in areas with 3 bars or less, I get too much skipping.

Hope that helps!

Take care,
Swoop

I installed it. So far it works ok (I did the buffer mods listed above) Also, go to the web forum where you got the software. There are some ideas that can be shared both ways to hopefully make it better quicker.

The only problem that I have is after about 5-10min my blackberry 8100 freezes up completely. Not sure how to solve. I'll play around with settings. If anyone has figured this out let us all know.

It's funny - I can only get the app to play for a few seconds on my 7130c, BUT I have no problem adding new stations using the autoload feature. Go figure.

Has anyone ever installed this application and then had the device reset ever time you ran the cursor over the icon. It gave me a JUM error 523(whatever that is). I installed raiobee on my 8700c, and it needs to reset every time I ran the cursor over the icon, the device gave me a white screen and no other optopn than to reset. I was not even trying to open the program. It would only reset after I tried to scroll past the icon slowely. Luckily if I ran the cursor over it as quick as possible I could get into the applications and delete it. Am I the only one that has ran into these problems?

Be good to your wife

Question: A URL can be both an IP numbers and "normal" looking?

2 minutes of reading the forum has shown me that

A. you need to go under options -> advanced options -> tcp and set your apn
(i used wap.voicestream.com simply because its what was recomended, no user or pass)

B. I just set the security setting under setting -> security options -> applications permissions to allow for the program

C. set your buffer size to 90000 and your min play to 45000, it will load slower but play way better
