hi they gave me a bold 9000 and its not turning on at all the red light does not even come on or anything an i cant seem to figure out why it does not want to charge or turn on ... please help thanks

Is it new? is the battery in? how are you charging it? AC or USB?

its pretty mint , batterys in , and wall charger .. i even tryed putting my 9700 battery and still nuthing , :/

Was it ever wet? If not the Os may be corrupt. You can try replacing it if you can get it to be seen by a Pc via the USB. Try downloading Desktop manager from RIM( free) and try to connect to the BB. Worse case the BB is defective. Another thing, check the connectors on the case. Maybe they are dirty or not fully touching.

Replace the battery with a BB 9000 OEM one, not one from another device. I had a similar problem with my 9000 and a (new) replacement battery fixed it.

Dubdub are the 9000 and the 9700 batteries the same ?

Don't think so, but not sure. From my experience, each model has its own spec battery.

I had those problem... Your battery is too low to start BlackBerry. The device will automatically on by the time we plug-in the battery. If the battery have not enough power, it will turn off / restart & it will automatically on again.
You need to charge the battery on independent charger. Good luck
