Default Media Card issue

Please Login to Remove!

When trying to access my media card from my device i get the message: 'A media card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer'

How ever when I place the card into my computer and try to error check the card I get the message that the card is protected. I was able to copy the data from the card to my machine.

I am running vista business 32bit machine
Also tried this on a windows7 64bit machine

I have tried to format the card but run into the issue of the card being protected. The only thing i can think of is that I have upgraded the OS on the device. from .76 to .141

Any Ideas don't need to save any data on either the device or card just want the card fixed.

Just wanted to add that I'm using a storm with 4.5.141 on verizon (I know this is/should be apparent but if I did add it someone would ask.)

Insert the card in your device, then go into Options|Memory Card and format it.

This is an issue that we are seeing when you upgrade your OS, the media card gets screwed.

Looks like that work thanks a lot. Your God sent there was no data loss

(Because this forced me to back the data up before playing with the card.)

Good to hear that you're good now. I always backup my card before an OS upgrade.

Can you avoid that by pulling the media card first.

How do you back up media card? I have Roxio on DM, would assume I can open Roxio and drag the files to a folder on my laptop.

I guess you could but I find that Windows Explorer works really well. I never use Roxio for my BB.

Thanks for the reply,

I use Roxio with DM everyday, so no big deal for me.

I did find out you need to pull the media card for OS upgrade.
