Kudos on the custom build with the flash effect. I think that looks better and the scroll up/down to the previous icon is a huge usability improvement IMHO.

Hey all! I'm from MN also. Haha
It's beautiful today tho. Haha

But anyway, if someone could help me quick.
I'm havin' trouble with the Simulator.
I'm tryin' to make my first theme for the 8900.
But I don't know what version of Device Simulator to use.
I tried 4.6.1.94 and it won't work!

Don't mean to change the subject but if I get this worked out,
I'll be glad to post up my theme for ya'll also!

HaTaX-
This theme is absolutely awesome - love it! There is one thing that I would be very grateful if I could coerce you to change it... I have a much larger need to view my daily appointments on the home screen than e-mail messages. Could you make a version without the email included on the home screen?

Hello, I use SMS and MMS separate in two folders. Your theme is very good, but I use mainly SMS, how can I replace list unread Messages in Today screen?
Can you do theme with SMS?
Thank you

I am not sure, I will try it now.
I use this setting: in Messages - Options - General Options - SMS and Email Inboxes - Separate instead Combined.
Now I see two Application, SMS and Messages, but when I received new SMS (I see only in SMS), I dont see it on desktop. But When I received new Email (I can see on Messages) I see it on my today.
Can you help me, how can I see SMS on today when I use separated folders?
Thank you

Try this... instead of using separate folders, use combined. To view SMS only, open the Messages application and hit Alt+S. Alt+S is a hotkey assigned to a saved search. If you prefer to not see your sent SMS messages, you can either edit the saved search or create another saved search and set it to exclude sent messages. I have multiple e-mail addresses on my BB and I use the Alt+[letter] function to view the addresses separately.

The saved search functionality is the same thing you're doing now, except you have an icon to open messages with that saved search already up.

I like this theme, but was wondering if the lock screen could show the homescreen image instead of the default blue wand effect?

Also, could you please describe the logic behind the messages that are displayed in the messages today section? They seem to disappear if I go into the messages app, even though they remain unread. Is it only messages that have arrived since I've left the messages app?

Thanks much tho!

Yes, it is only the messages you haven't "seen" even though you haven't "read" them yet.

HI
I downloaded this theme and it is great
I have 2 questions though

1. The icon on my home screen for sms & mms does not exist. It shows on your example though? Please advise how i can fix this

2. A number of the folders have lost their little indicators ie they show as blank eg applications, setup, downloads etc

I am using a Blackberry curve 8900

Thank you

I don't have this either. But when you open Messages, hit ALT+S for SMS or ALT+M for MMS.

  1. Highlight the folder.
  2. Press the BlackBerry key (one left of the trackball).
  3. Select Edit Folder
  4. Choose icon.
  5. Click Save.

You have done a great job - the theme is excellent.

I have 3 wishes:

Calendar ToDay Home Screen: not show items with "show time as = free". On my BB all items with "free" are on screen.

Calendar ToDay Home Screen: Display 3 date items on screen. On my BB is line free and not used at the end of the Calendar section.

Lock Screen: Show background picture too. On my BB i can see only the default graphic of the theme. The picture is visible on home screen.

Regards

Matthias

I love this theme, and sent some friends the OTA link. Today however comcast is serving up a 404 link.

Edit:
Ok, the today plus 2 link works, the original is a 404.

I also noticed in the screen shot it looks like the date gets cut off in the icon menu, when in fact it's 2 pixels away from the edge. Ohh well, if you'd prefer a different font for those menu items I could whip one up easily enough.

Also, the icons on the bottom have a text display as well, here's a screen shot of what that looks like:

What is the Weather app. your using? I like the fact that it displays the name plus the temp., condition, etc.

Been a while since I've checked my own thread out! Sorry peoples....

The weather app I'm using is actually no app at all, it's a push service that gets updated via push content from the web. I like it because it uses no memory to run, and takes up very little space on the BB. The icon itself just links to a webpage that I have the BB setup to offline sync every so often.

You can set it up on your berry by going to:
http://weather.blackberry.com/mss/category_push

From there, just add a provider (I'm using accuweather) and then you're set!

Hopefully soon I can get some time and update this theme to go along with OS 5, just hoping that Plazmic has a new theme creator available for OS 5. There's some new functions in the theme menu now that I'd like to see what we can do with.

Thanks for all the compliments!
