Default Surreal on Verizon 8330, OS 4.3.0

I really liked the Surreal theme on my 8330, until I realized my keyboard wasn't lighting up. Once I deleted the Surreal theme, the keyboard went back to normal. I assume the Surreal theme was the cause...or it was just a STRANGE coincidence.

I would be weary with the 8330 as well, which might explain why I am getting the following message from mobile.blackberry.com when I go to download themes..."sorry, there are no available themes for your blackberry device. (8330, OS 4.3.0)"

This makes me really sad..

When I do that it says "sorry, no themes are currently available for your device os" What gives? I have the Alltel Curve with the original Alltel OS.

That probably means it's not compatible with your BB. Are you running a 4.5 OS?

Not worth the effort. Check the earlier thread posts. It will crash your BB.

This will remove the theme and restart your device, no need to re-install os or erase the device.

I can write a little bat file to help if you are stuck.
You saved my day!! Thanks a lot...

Is there any way to use this theme with 4.5? I am aware of the '523' error and the warning not to install it if you have 4.5. Just thought that maybe there is some kind of work around. I love this theme and don't want to lose it by upgrading my OS.

thanks

I like the layout of the theme, but the icons are a bit too much for my taste (I like like clean and minimal like precision icons). I hope the layouts and the boundaries of themes continue to evolve as time goes by and 4.5, and 4.6 become available to all.

Thumbs up

Nancy,

Really like the theme. What size are those Icons? They look enormous!

All of a sudden my email indicator went from the green "V" to a white envelope. I didn't change anything. Weird.

I really like this theme. I'm going to miss it when I install 4.5.
