Default Free Theme: iLike

Please Login to Remove!

Here's another free theme. I call it iLike because it's Mac like and I like it. It's loosely based off of OS X Leopard with Leopard themed wallpaper, icons, dialogs, and dock as the banner. But it still has an overall blackberry feel to it. This theme was designed for the Curve or devices running 4.2.2. If you like the screen shots you can download it here at blueroomsolution.com.

Fantastic looking Leopard theme!
Great work. I'm definitely going to try this out on my Curve.

Ugh... do I really need to register on that site to download this theme?

Sorry guys. They are hosting OTA links for me and allow me to mod my threads over at BlueRoomSolution. I'll be posting themes there as long as I have a BB so if you like my work it's worth the registration. From time to time I will be posting the .thm files like I did for the Elemental themes too. I don't know why they require people to register though.

Ah, what a shame. I would have loved to try that theme out.
Thanks anyway!

I asked them if they would allow people to DL stuff without registration. We'll see. Regardless it's still a nice free theme and there's good content on the site. Thanks in advance to those of you that take the time to register.

Registration is a pain, but I am not sure what the big deal is. Doesn't everyone have at least one "junk" email acct that they can use to sign up with?

I just downloaded the theme and I think it is great. Good work!

I agree registration is a pain and I'll admit that I've passed on sites that required it too. But I feel good free themes are worth it.

Just to give some insight as to why I'm only posting DL links there... it's going to be so much easier for me update my themes at one site as opposed to 3 or 4. With my previous themes it would take me a half hour to update all of my posts. Now I have a site with a great group of guys that has given me OTA and lets me mod my threads so it just makes sense to consolidate the DL links to one spot.

Glad you like the theme AnthroMatt.

Thumbs up

Ok Evo over at blue room told me that they would open things up later today so that you don't have to register. So those of you that have been turned off by the registration thing check back later if you're still interested in trying the theme out.

Hey, m.a.t., would you be willing to produce a version of this for the 8800 using 4.2.1 (preferably implementing the font smoothing option)?

Definitely a cool theme. I agree with Spencer... this needs font smoothing.
It's the only thing keeping me from using the theme full-time.

Couple of bugs I wanted to point out. It doesn't display what network you're on (ex. 1XEV, EDGE, etc.), the SYM character dialog box is cut off on the right side, and the % bar when it scans Applications or something else is "slightly" cut off on the bottom. Other then that it's SUPER. Please fix those issues and maybe export for an 8830 (8800 series w/OS 4.2.2). Thanks in advance!

Just made a version with smooth fonts. It does look a little better. Will post an update soon.

The network thing isn't a bug. I removed it and the carrier from the banner on purpose. It was clutter IMO. I removed the tx/rach arrow from showing up too.

In regards to the cut off... I'm convinced it's a plazmic thing. If you make a custom dialog background it cuts it off. Even pay for themes with custom dialog backgrounds I've seen have the same cut off in the symbols menu. As a test I took the original dialog and menu background links and and just made them darker. Loaded the edited (darker) ones and bam the symbols menu is cut off. The images themselves we're the exact same just a darker shade. The good thing is that it doesn't actually block you from accessing any symbols. If anyone knows a fix to this bug please let me know. The only fix I could find was to use the original backgrounds.

I've found one bug where the % in the progress bar is cut off a bit. I'm going to fix that and the post the .thm files for download tonight.
