If you do a search of the forums you'll see that the issue has gone unsolved since 4.1.0. It's possible you've just gotten lucky.

I'm all for solving it, but there's no way to change the actual functionality of the themes, just the look.

im a new BB user and looking for themes for my 8310 curve... and under my default themes straight from ATT, I have the "today" theme preloaded. is the today+ any different than this?

Have you addressed this yet? If not, I have an 8820 and would be glad to tesat something for you. Send me a sample theme to load, and I can tell you if the wi-fi indicator shows.

I still have no reliable way to verify the UMA meter. Anything I could try at this point would be a guess.
