hi i have a blackberry edge now is there anyway i can turn off the tone which i get after i have sent text as i want to use my phone on normal sound setting but that text message send tone is a pain.

Read here. You can edit the various sounds or turn them off.

i think we hav crossed lines im talking about the send tone u get for sending texts once you hav sent a text u get a tone i want to turn that of i found profiles but nothing which said custom.

My BlackBerry has never made a tone after I send a text. Do you have an application installed that might be causing this? What OS version is on the device?

Do you have anything set in the "Accessibility" options? (Although I don't think the Event Sounds cause this.)

Is it possible that this is being controlled by a third party application?

my daughter as the same phone and hers will sound and tone when text message is sent.

Curious question, when you send a text, do you get a notifcation on screen of your current balance?

There's no way to stop that.
Its a carrier thing, and as far as I'm aware, O2 will not turn it off.

its a o2 provider thing stupid it gets on my nerves why would they not turn that awful thing off
