I just purchased a BB 7290 from eBay in mint condition. I just popped my SIM card into it a so far I love it! I just have a few questions

1. On the menu, at the top, it says "Data connection refused". What does this mean and how can I fix it? I have a data plan with ATT

1.a. When I inserted the SIM an powered up the BB, it made me update. Now the browser is gone from the main menu..what happened?

2. I can send/receive text, but no pics?

3. What firmware should I use? Upgrade?
when I go to options>advanced>applications all say 4.1

I need a separate data plan for the blackberry itself? May I ask how much it is (about)

Yes you need a specific Blackberry data plan. I dont know how much yours will cost, but mine is $29.99 for unlimited email and internet through Verizon. So for my plan I have my cost for the phone service, $5 charge for a couple hundred text (SMS) messages, and $29.99 for the blackberry service.
