How often does your users devices lose email connection, i get calls quite often people cannot send/receive or both. Also the server fails a couple of times more than people appreciate. Really don't know why, i think i've tried every combo now...
presently on:
1 server 2008 node on 1 ESX 3i 3.5
another server 2008 node and 1 server 2008 BES SQL on another ESX 3i 3.5
How often does your users devices lose email connection
Never, really.

You should start your own thread for this. I don't think the OP wanted to turn this thread into a troubleshooting session.
I have ESX 3.5, 8 node cluster, 4 on 1 site and 4 on another site 15 miles away, all on 1 logical Network.
I have\will have:
ESX 3.5, for now (upgrade after XMAS I suspect)
BES 5, up to 500 users initially, probably 1000 within 6-12 months.
Exchange 2007 SP2
Windows 2008 Server for BES
Use existing central SQL 2005 VM (2GB+ RAM probably) for DBase, connected to ISCSI storage (Without yet sizing the performance I would imagine this should cope with I\O load)
Considering the ESX High availability and replicated SAN environment across 2 sites, would I need to use BES 5 HA?
I'm trying to theorise the above without yet having read Admin\Install guides, but I will I promise.
