Thanks i saw the reply in that thread. Under Manage Connections > Service Status says BES is Not Connected but BIS shows as Connected. The ISP did send a sms confirming that the settings has been activated the other day. Do i let the user contact the ISP to do it again?

You need the BES data plan to be able to connect to BES. BIS is not good enough.

It is a BESAdmin rite of passage to go through the gauntlet of correcting the right BES data plan with your carrier.

Under Manage Connections on the device (OS 5 and higher), there's a services status which tells if connected to the data network.

For BES dataplan testing.

The user have contacted the ISP who confirmed that BES is activated on her device all though it says Not Connected as a status on the device. Apparently it shows not Connected because it has not been connected to the BES Server which is the problem I'm having. How do i troubleshoot this?

I know the user has been connected to a BES Server from a previous company before but i have wiped her emails (not a full wipe) before i did try to reconfigure the device.

I check both, but have more shortcuts/links/macros on the other one.

This forum is not related to RIM, it is a private forum.

The other is the official one.

I just like to help people out either way.

Not to be a jackass, but have you pulled the battery of the phone yet?

if in the properties of the user forwarding is enabled (even in copy) and the other user already is on the BES, activation is not possible.
