Hello Everyone,

I just got a used blackberry 7290 and the dude who had it before me has a ton of contacts that I do not want. I figured out how to delete them one by one, is there an easier way to delete them all? If I do a wipe will the phone become unusable because I don't have any of the software or anything that came with the device? If not, how do I do a wipe? I am in love with the device, but unfortunately am not the most tech savy person. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to the forums.

Performing a wipe of the device will erase all personal information, but should leave the operating system and programs in place. I would perform the wipe of the device to clear out any unwanted information.

You can also check out BlackBerryFAQ.com for some more information on the BlackBerry and some more information on how to do other functions.

yeah, once you do a wipe. Assuming your company has BES, you can then just enter your email and activation password to sync your emails.

But if it is an old berry, you might want to update the OS
