Default Curve vs Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

There's a discussion about it over here...

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...arl-again.html

Out of curiosity, I decided to do a poll on it. This poll will last for 14 days.

If you only have a choice between these two phones, which one will you choose?

Loved the Pearl 8100 when I had it, but love the curve even more!

After all my time working with blackberry tech for rogers, there is an incredible trend with pearls never lasting a year,i take about 50 calls a day..85% are regarding the pearl....ive gotta say the pearl is not designed very well.
So curve all the way!!!!! Until the bold comes out anyway!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest that's probably because pound for pound, more soccer moms use the Pearl.

I am in love with Pearl - the smallest smartphone.

Its one of those things where once you've used a full QWERTY keyboard, you can't go back.

I just faced this decision. After two years with a Treo 700WX I wanted something significantly smaller and easier to carry in my pocket. I spent an hour at the Sprint store playing with the Curve and the Pearl.

As soon as I decided that I could type fairly well with using SureType, that sealed the deal for me. Going on day 3 with my new Pearl and love it.

Wirelessly posted (Sex Machine)

Got both, love 'em both.
For one handed typing, the Pearl rules (8120), for email and typing names and complicated strings the Curve is much better.
The Curve has the superior screen and camera.
The Pearl is so convenient though.

I couldn't decide on just one, so I carry both with me.

Cheers!

Myk

I've had both, and enjoyed using them. I give the Curve a very slight edge for the bigger display. I really have no preference between SureType and Qwerty.

I've had both and much prefer the Curve. However, can't wait for the Bold.

In the end, this seems to be a matter of what is important to the user. When I recently upgraded my phone I stuck with the Pearl because I prefer the small form factor for how I use my phone. As to keyboards, I haven't used a Curve, but used to have qwerty win mobile devices and I can type faster on my Pearl than I could on the qwerty keyboard. I just wish I could have a tiny phone with a big screen, but nothing in life is perfect!
