this is cool. i had an app like this on my SK2 and i loved it.

there seems to be a weird conflict with the "color pearl" app. but when you go into standby and out again it rights itself. is the actual "highlight now" box for constant color when nothing pending? (if so i'm assuming i can just disable the color pearl app right?)

any chance of integrating sms/mms, IM, pin, and BB messenger in the future?

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830: BlackBerry8830/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I know this has been addressed bit its unfortunate that the 88xx group cannot utilize this product

Yeah, customize the LED color for my Curve! I'd purchase this app in a heartbeat if it did that.

I don't see why not, lets just hope we have an alternative to BB alerts. Even though BBAlerts works great.

pdone, xColorEvent is supported by 4.2 OS and higher. But it might not be compatible with the 8130 due to device specifications. If it's not working on your device, we are sorry, but it's not of our scope.

I discovered on this forum that only the 8100 models have the colored LEDs. On a separate note, does xtemplate work on 4.3 devices? Don't want to brick my phone....

Yes, it is true. xColorEvents works only for 8100.

xTemplate works only for OS 4.1 and 4.2.
Anyway you can see the notification about it on our web-site before downloading and the OTA link wouldn't show you the xTemplate in the list at all. So unfortunately xTemplate won't work for you but we have warned about it all the users, so there is no danger of breaking the BlackBerry.

kromega, we haven't tested xColorEvent with the latest OS such as 4.5. If it doesn't work on yours we do not recommend to purchase the application at the moment.
