Not sure if today is just a bad day but my battery has been drained quicker then normal.

Can anyone else confirm, and I didn't even spend all day in jail. lol

No issues here. Battery drain seems better than normal.

It was a great app when it came out but apps like Uber are competitive

I tried lastest version on 9800, killed the battery and CPU would spike over 40% most of the time.

Works great on my 9700 wifi unit with minimal drain.

Why can't you download the latest version? From your Blackberry browser, go to SocialScope - A Mobile Inbox for your Social Networks and select the download link, log in with your Socialscope id/password and you should be able to download it ota.

It's the best Twitter/Facebook app for the Blackberry in my opinion. I've been testing since Dec 2008 and have been able to update whenever there was an update.

Edit: Just checked. Latest version is 0.9.5.129 (which I am running fine on a 9700)

Hope this helps.

How long do they plan to keep this in beta? I've been waiting for a month of Sundays for an invite to come through.

OK, I've been using this for a week now. I really want to like it, but I simply don't. It's more hype than anything: A jack of all trades and a master of none. I prefer using dedicated apps for each service now. Some major annoyances with Socialscope:

- Four Square checkins. One needs multiple clicks to reach the section to see nearby places, in order to check in. Ridiculous.

- Facebook event invites: There appears to be no way to see event invites in the Facebook section.

Twitter section is decent, but I still prefer using UberTwitter. The only service I've dialed into Socialscope is Flickr, simply because there's no good apps for Flickr around.

Socialscope is a fine concept, but it's quite cumbersome to use at this point. Cheers.

I think they get delivered as private messages. I noticed that with two events I received. They didn't show up in my FB messages when I checked on the web. But aside from that there doesn't seem to be a way to accept/decline the event invite.

My original and only account was in alpha from Dec 3, 2008 and I have upgraded pretty regularly ever since so it seems kinda strange. Glad you're up and running.
