Default Help With Email Synchronization

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There,

I have a Bold 9700 which I use with BIS for my work email. I have a question please.

If i open an email on my computer will it update on my blackberry as read? at the moment i have to go through and open up all the emails i have received as they are staying as unread.

Many thanks

This is not totally correct. It does sync one-way (from device > server > computer) with some providers (such as Gmail), but they do not sync in the reverse order (computer > server > device) unless you use Yahoo.

EDIT: New information.

Yahoo has had two-way read/unread reconciliation for years.

Reconciliation != sync though people use them interchangeably. Heck, I even recently saw someone asking about syncing with a POP account. Yeesh, kids...
