Good point to discuss. I think you should give any good bluetooth headset or bluetooth speaker to enjoy and you will have options like blackberry storm and other new devices. It also depend how much you want to spend

Wonder if you can get a gift card for accessories? When I got my daughter her phone, I gave her 40$ for accessories, how ever she chose.

This is wonderful suggestion. Let them decide what to purchase.. you can suggest some products for blackberry but let them take their own decision
