Default Detect Unknow Number?

Please Login to Remove!

I've been getting a call from an unknown number several times a day on a daily basis. When I answer the phone the person knows me by name (kind of creepy), and I can't recognize who it is. As I said earlier this number calls several times daily. Nothing stops them from calling. I've ignored for about a month and a half straight and the number still calls me daily. If I don't answer the phone they leave a voice message, every time. I'm wondering if there's a way to trace back the "unknown number". I know it's probably not feasible, but I thought if anyone would know it would be the community here.

Reasons for wanting to know the number are obvious....I'd like nothing better than to send a text and say "you're caught person's name" or something along those lines. I don't think you're able to block an individual number from calling you (is that a correct assumption?) but I'd love to block the number if possible. If for nothing else, to prolong my battery life.

Thanks

The only thing I think you can do is to call your carrier and tell them you are receiving harassing phone calls. I doubt that they have any means of discovering who is calling since the call is blocked prior to being sent to your carrier.

The only thing they can probably do is change your phone number.

Or, if you think its one of your friends or enemies. Well, start sending all of them the same message and see who reacts.

If you are being harrassed, report it to your carrier and go from there.

Have you not spoken to the party on the other end? That would seem to be the best solution. At least the calls would stop. I would do such if it were my problem/phone.

Your carrier may not be able to do much, it's best to report it to the police as you are being harrassed.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

Contact law enforcement for "cyber harassment" or "phone harassment". Go into the office, don't call. The police can get the number that is blocked. I've had this issue before, and had it taken care of

Agreed. Go to your local law enforcement and report the harassment. Your call log on your BB should show the re-occurrence of this issue.
