The past few days, my beejive is having problems logging into my facebook. Keeps giving me error saying to try again later... Anyone else have that problem?

See if this works for you.

Here are the step by step instructions to login to Facebook through Beejive on Jabber Transport

1) Login to Facebook.com through your desktop web browser

2) On the top right under Account drop down, select Account Settings. On the list of options available, choose creating/adding a username and follow the instructions there to create a username. Logout of facebook and try relogging in and make sure the username is successfully added

3) Open Beejive, add account while selecting jabber service (Remember you are adding facebook account through jabber and should select jabber service and not facebook service under Network/account types on the Add Account dialog/screen).

4) Add the user name as <username>@chat.facebook.com. This is the same username that was created in the above step at facebook.com. Your password is the same password that you use to login to facebook.com

5) Now try to login through Beejive and you should be good to go

Edit: That worked..

I created a FaceBook you username and added the account back to BeeJive under a "Jabber".

Seems like some un-needed steps in my opinion... Wonder if I should give IM+ Lite a try... But this is probably something FaceBook themselves changed.

Will try when I get home from school/work today... I believe it is a FB issue, because every time they change their stupid layout, everything seems to get all messed up.. Ugh
