Default Can I upgrade ATT 8120 with Orange software

I noticed some people were having problems with wifi that were helped by installing the latest OS by Orange. Can I install on an ATT phone?

Default will it help

The question is, will using the orange software have any chance of making the wifi work or will ATT block it?

I would have thought a link to the 8120 newest HH OS thread would have been more appropriate: Newest 8120 HH OS (as of this posting)

The post in my Wifi problem thread shows that ATT and Orange have different configuration. You can't preference Wifi on ATT. If I load Orange, will I gain that screen or will ATT send a signal via SIM to block that option?

I can't see that option being blocked. Worst case you can just reload the ATT OS back on it ... but as it stands you only potentially gain from upgrading.

Changing the OS will have no effect on this. You will have the same options, regardless of which OS you load.

stlgasman - upgrading the OS didn't make any difference to the wifi preference settings with my carrier.
