Please do not double post. Once is enough. Your second thread has been deleted.

Have you done a battery pull?

Do you have a BB data plan?

Have you resent the service books?

Have you tried to unhide all apps?

You need a specific BB data plan from your cell carrier for RIM services such as the BB browser, BBM, email, etc. Do you have that?

A blackberry data plan is a data plan designed to make blackberries work properly. A generic data plan will not allow full use of your blackberry, specifically any inherently BB functions such as push email, use of the built in BB browser, BB messenger, etc., as all of these require use of the RIM servers which can only be obtained by getting a blackberry data plan. See the FAQ: What do I need a Data Plan for? - BlackBerryFAQ

hi dubdub... still having problems witth 8900, i can now access bb messenger and download apps from bb app world but the phone is still asking for bis & bes and still says to contact service provider. i've even spoke to some american bird @ blackberry but she wasn't a great deal of help. voda have hit a brick wall too. am i missing a setting on the phone to switch on or allow bb settings? i know the phone is working rite ie system controls etc but its just having a bad day as far as tintirnet is concerned. can you have a think?

What app is asking for BIS/BES?

See our FAQ on how to set up email. You will need to go to the specific Voda BIS site.
