Default Outlook to Blackberry email format

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, im new in the forums community. I have a question and I hope I can find the answer. When I want to send a report to my boss for example from excell as an image, if I paste it from excell to outlook, I can see it correctly, for example as a table, but in the blackberry I get it all messed up. How can get it as an image as in outlook?? And other question, I want to do the same with any type of document.

You won't be able to.

If you want an "image" of an Excel spreadsheet or another document on your computer, then you need to do a screen capture on your computer and paste it into a graphics program and then save it as an IMAGE FILE format and then send THAT FILE to whomever.

True MM, that would work. I was thinking he wanted to do what I frequently do which is just copy and paste from Excel to my email -- which of course comes across on the BB as straight text. But a screen capture saved as a jpg or other graphic format would work.

Yes, and I was just trying to emphasize to the OP, that if they truly want an IMAGE (as stated in the OP) as an exact replication of the file, then they needed to go through the steps of actually creating an IMAGE FILE.

Alternately, just send the Excel file as an email attachment and open the actual file.

Actually, your advice was spot on. I know anytime I want to be sure someone can read what I am sending to either turn it into jpg or pdf.

Seems like there are a lot of people complaining recently because the phones don't know everything their computers do. As much as I love my phones, I still realize that they are NOT complete substitutes for the computer. Maybe someday they will be but they aren't there yet. Not sure I'm looking forward to that day either -- it's enough of a PITA to have the work phone (BB) with you all the time.

To the OP: Anytime I want to send my users an image they can see in a BB message, I take a screen shot of whatever I want (do ALT-Print Screen on your PC), paste the screen into MS Paint, then copy what I want out of the pic and paste it into the email.

Works like a charm for the weekly tips I send out.

Better yet, save (print) as a PDF, much better than a screenshot as it is scaleable, portable and printable; and PDF's sent through BES/BIS are able to be read by the native BB OS.
