Well, sometime last night FB 1.3 stopped giving me notifications. I did a battery pull, but it didn't fix the problem. I even sent a regular email to my vzw.blackberry.net email address, and that worked fine. I don't know what that means, but I need my facebook notifications on my phone!

Do you mean the standard facebook front page? The revamp when live today. Not to be confused with the updated facebook up.

Still not updated. Argh! I want to sync my contacts soooo bad! (w/pictures)!

Try logging into the main site on from a normal computer. As the new revamp went life. Maybe it corrupted your privacy controls(I think they changed somewhat as well)

1)add a new notification email & apply it
2)logout and login again and changed it back to your old notification address
3)remove and re-install facebook

Worked for me previously.
Also, had it happen again(after I updated the os)..and I think I tried re-installation and it worked

Yes, I meant the standard facebook frontpage. My post was to mention that while 1.5 is not available, they have updated their homepage format and that "new" feature is out of the way. Now that they have finished THAT update, maybe they will be releasing 1.5 app in the near future.

I'm looking forward to syncing my calendars- I think this is super useful!!!

My facebook homepage didn't take on the new look until just about 20 minutes ago, while some people I know were able to see it several hours ago and others still can't see it. Weird.

No new Facebook for me yet, which is a-okay as I'd like to keep the current look as long as possible.

Why are we talking about the PC version of facebook? Isn't this thread about the mobile version?

Yes, but I think the new look of the pc version is relevant because of the way it is being rolled out slowly as well.

Unrelated. This is all on RIM, they are updating the app. As long as the Facebook API is the same, the new rollout is unrelated. AFAIK no changes where made to the API for the new rollout. They just basically changed the interface(basically like a "CSS" change) that effects the appearence.

If you say so, the application writers for facebook apps have been complaining in the developer forums about the problems with the new platform. So if you want to think its only RIM be my guest.

yeah. it is about mobile. but the main site means that things in general on facebook are changing.

my site has ben changed to that three collum thing for about 4 days now.

i think its confusing.

as for the mobile site, mine is acting funny with notifications as well.

an email change didnt work. im thinking facebook is changing something in their emails again. remember before where everything would just come as a generic notification... and right after that we got an update

well, situation is simular now. just dont get ur hopes up
