New BB Pearl owner here. *waves*

Long time T-Mobile customer and I bought a MDA when they first came out. It's a GREAT toy. It has some wonderful features but I wasn't entirely satisfied with the "phone" features. After much thought and playing around with a co-worker's Pearl, I broke down and got one. So far, I'm really impressed. It has some GREAT features and I like it's ease of use. Also it's so much smaller and lighter. I don't know why I'm telling you all this as I'm sure you have the same praises I have.

Anyway, I'm a rather curious type person so I'll probably ask a lot of stupid questions. (Yes, I know there is a search function. *heh*)

Anyway, hello again! Thanks for having me.

I'm off to search the forums to see if I can find a way to make the e-mail client sync faster than it does. =)

Thanks. =)

Seems to be a lot of good information here. I'm still poking around to see what I can find. I know on my MDA I could set it to check my e-mail like every 10min or to whatever I set it to. Trying to figure out if I can change it on my Pearl.

Good stuff so far!

Thanks again for all the warm welcomes.
So far, I have learned a good deal of stuff AND know where to spend more money and on what toys for my Pearl. :lol:

I think the favorite thing I learned, and this is probably sad, is how to make my trackball light up with different colors when the phone rings. (I'm easily amused) Now to get a memory card so I can load up all kinds of wallpapers, music, movies, etc. Ordered the 1G for $10 but will probably buy one today at Frys because I don't think I can wait that long.

Oh man..............it's just AWESOME!
I got a good chance to get broken in with it this weekend. I did a lot of texting to some friends, wrote about 5 e-mails, made calls, got some MP3's for ringtones loaded, etc. It's everything I could have hoped for. The true text was weird for about a day and now I LOVE it.

I can't wait for my memory card to get in so I can load it up. (I didn't buy one over the weekend because I bought a 37" LCD TV. lol)

Still learning but I'm really satisfied so far. I haven't really played with the web browser too much. I used a few of the pre-loaded shortcuts/favorites. Not sure how much use I'll really get out of it. Always open to cool sites and all for my Pearl.

Again, I appreciate all the welcomes and such. If anyone has any really good tips, I'm always open to suggestion! I think my next purchase will be one of the Seidio Rubberized cases. They look pretty nice.

Cheers!

P.S. The dog's name is Mayoke. He's my best buddy. That was his first birthday. He's such a ham.
