Although they are all aerobatic, the Citabria/Super Decathlon, Pitts and Extra 300 are very different aircraft.

Both the Citabria and Super Decathlon are fantastic airplanes. The Super has more power and has an inverted fuel system and a different wing that permit sustained inverted flight. The Citabria engine would cut out if you pulled negative G's for more than a moment.

I've also flown a Pitts. An awesome airplane! It's in a totally different class than that Citabria and Super Decathlon. It's extremely responsive and accomplishes aerobatic manuevers with ease. However, it's significantly more expensive that a Super Decathlon and quite difficult to learn how to land (approach speed is 100 knots and you have almost no forward visibility).

I've never flown an Extra 300, but I would love to try!

I am in business and a student pilot. Been only a few hours away from getting my private for months now. Seems I just can't get around to finishing it. Perhaps business demands will switch early next year and "make" me finish up.

I like the BB and many of my associates use them, including a number of private pilots. The downside to the BB for a number of us is the lack of aviation program access. Most of us really need the "push" email which is the primary reason for choosing the BB. However, the lack of available aviation software pushes some of us to the Palm and Windows PDAs.

So, if you are still working on the logbook, I think you would find a good following. There are some good forums where you might ask at iPilot Forums and on the AOPA site AOPA Forums. I would have posted the links but I haven't posted on this site enough to be able to post links. When I try, I get a message that I must make 10 posts before being allowed to post links.

On the AOPA site, scroll down to the bottom of the left margin menu for the forums link.

Keep us posted please.
