Default Oh No!! Not Another BB Newbie Question!!

Please Login to Remove!

Happy New Year fellow and fellow-ette BB users

I have another question which I couldn't find on here. I have a 8700c and I recently downloaded the newer updated OS.
What I have noticed is that when I recieve e-mail from my Yahoo e-mail it shows up in my yahoo folder, but for some reason those same e-mails end up in my message folder as well. I thought my message folder was for receiving text messages only, but since I downloaded the updated OS, my yahoo e-mail shows up in both folders.

What can I do to make sure my Yahoo e-mails stay in my yahoo e-mail folder and not go into my message folder as well?

Thanks for any advice given

The "Messages" folder is a folder where all of your messages will go and this is in addition to your individual folders (Yahoo), in other words, when you receive an e-mail on your Yahoo account, it will go to your "Messages" folder AND your Yahoo folder. As far as I know there is no way to stop this but you can always "Hide" your "Messages" folder if you prefer to only see the Yahoo folder. I have done this and it works fine.

I don't like the Zen theme is that the only possible solution? If so, then I will just go back to the Cingular theme.

Thanks K Mack, but this never happened until I upgraded my OS. I doubt it's because I'm using the Wave-Icon theme, but could it?

I believe this is an OS issue rather than a Theme issue, I don't think changing your theme will accomplish what you want unless you use the Zen theme. You could always revert back to your earlier OS if you want.

The combination of the new BIS and the new OS has given you a seperate mailbox for Yahoo. However, EVERY message (and SMS) will appear in the Messages folder.

Thank you to everyone who replied. I guess I'm stuck just deleting e-mail messages from my message folder. It would make better sense to keep things private, but hell...the world is complicated and hardly makes sense, hahahahaha!!!

Just as info... the messages are not actually on your device twice... if you delete from your messages folder it will also delete from your yahoo folder. The messages folder is just linked to your email/sms folders.
