Default Removing Scratches

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone this is my first post so bare with me, im trying to remove some scratches from my screen, im trying to us meguiars plastX plastic polish, ive applied it 4 times and im not seeing any results. They are mostly light scratches but there is one deeper one, however none of them can be felt by running your finger over them, so still not that deep.

Im just looking for some guidance in how to do this properly, only because ive heard of it being very possible to rub out scratches.

cheers

There is no plastic lens over the LCD on the 8900 like there is on the Curve 8300, Pearl and 8800's.

The Mequire's is for polishing plastic so that might work on a BB with a plastic lens cover. The LCD on the 8900 is glass and I highly doubt the Mequire's will polish out the scratches.

Once the LCD on the 8900 gets really scratched up you'll either have to live with the scratches or buy a new LCD.

From My understanding there is a thin piece of plastic ontop of the lcd, which is stuck onto it by adhesive, people have attempted to replace with not much luck as its glued on.

Yeah I managed to scratch my screen by (stupidly) having the phone in my pocket with my keys...tried plastic polish but no worky. Luckily the scratch isn't too bad, will live with it. Only alternative is $150 CAD for a new LCD. Will wait and spend it on a Storm 2...

Do yourself a favor and pick up an Invisible Shield @ zagg.com

$12 and your screen is instantly scratch resistant... Been using these for 4 years now.
