Exclamation 9810 -- Trackpad stopped working?!?!

I've had the new Torch 9810 ever since the day it came out on AT&T. However, starting this morning, the trackpad stopped working on the phone. At first I was able to do a battery pull and it started working again, but now it has completely stopped working and nothing will resolve it. When it resumed working this morning, it was either all or nothing, as in it didn't half work (like you would expect with mechanical or hardware failures). Any ideas what's causing this? Has anybody else experienced this with their Torch 9810? And what can I do to fix the problem?

By the way, I can still "click" by pressing the trackpad downward, however it will not go left/right/up/down anymore.

Did the BlackBerry get wet (or damp) or was it dropped?

If that is correct, it could be a hardware failure. Return and get a replacement.

Same problem with my 9810 and it is brand new.

Trackpad came back after a self reset during an apps jam but now does'nt work anymore even after batt removal ?

Any clue, could it be a bad apps that jam trackpad ?

Instead of wondering could it be this? Could it be that? Start ruling things out one by one. If you suspect an app, delete it. Delete the apps you've installed recently. Do a security wipe and select to delete user installed apps. If you still have the problem, stop troubleshooting and just exhange the device. You said it is brand new. Is it under warranty? If so, exchange it.
