Default Mini SD Card

Is there a maximum card size that can go into the BB Bold?

I have found a 4gb Micro Sd, it is quite a good price and because i use the phone for work and personal and everything in between i think its worth having the extra memory.

Any suggestions?

I would like to point out that the RIM web site now shows BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB vice 16GB as shown in the FAQ.

How about card transfer speeds? AFAIK, SDmicro cards come with different card speeds, is there official literature on what the Bold supports? Wouldn't make sense shelling out for a really fast card if there's a limitation on how fast the Bold accesses the card.

I'm now using a class 6 8GB card, and I can definitely say that the transfer times are MUCH faster than my old class 2 card offered. Not sure about exact numbers, but it's definitely a noticeable jump.
