Default help with themes

Please Login to Remove!

i have downloaded both OTA and using DM to install themes. the themes say they are installed under options/advanced/applications but they do not show up as an option to choose from in the menu. i checked and re-checked my os version with the file version, i have done battery pulls and re starts and i still can not change my theme to anything other than the themes that came pre loaded. What am i doing wrong??

This typically means that they weren't designed for you OS version.

1. What OS version are you using on your phone?
2. What OS version did the themes say that they were designed for?

If they were designed for 4.5 and you are running 4.3, they won't work. You would need to update your OS.

Make sure the themes are for your device also, and do a battery pull.

I have pulled the battery and that doesn't work. All of the themes I have tried so far have said either 4.5 8310 or 4.5 83xx and nothing works

Then there's always the problem of not enough free memory...

Have you removed any COD's? If you remove any of the Default Dimension themes are required for certain themes.

What is the name of the theme?

So when you go into Options - Themes, you have the "L", Zen, Icon, Today themes right? Sorry to make you double check.

Which theme exactly are trying to activate?

Just for giggles, have you tried putting back all the CODs you removed? Just to see if that fixes this.. You have all the default themes, enought memory, and you are downloading valid themes for you OS/Device you shouldn't have this problem.

Did you remove password keeper via removing the COD's or by removing it via the application loader?

Maybe I read your last post too fast, but did you remove Password Keeper via the Desktop manager? If not remove Password Keeper via the Desktop Manager.. I've removed quite a few COD's and I've been able to run various theme off my BlackBerry, however whatever I have been able to remove via the Desktop Manager's App Loader I remove threw there. ( I use Ascendo Data Vault, so I've always removed Password via the Desktop Manager.)

I never really gave it a thought to take it out via dm, i just wanted to make sure i got all the .cod files out so i wouldn't have to keep going back to the java folder..
