Just wondering how many of you BES admins are going to the Blackberry Seminar for IT Professionals? If so, which city?
Toronto for me!

Do you mean the Connect With The Experts thing?
Its being discussed here:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/bes-...s-4-1-2-a.html
I'm going to London next Tuesday.

I don't think this one is called CWTE. Plus, there's no date for London on this Technical Seminar apparently.
Anyhow, here's the link...

Was hoping to go to Toronto but I maxed out the training/travel budget on the Advanced Admin course earlier this year :(
Hopefully some of the content will be posted after the fact for us poor government worker bees...

Agenda looks the same as it's been for the last two years... *sigh*
...and yes, this is the Connect With The Experts seminar.
If you've never been, then it's a decent experience. At the very least, be sure to get all of the available goodies from all of the vendors. I still have unused pens and whatnot. Last year, RIM gave us 128MB USB thumb drives, so that was a decent gift.
...with that said, a new version of BES (5.0) is about 6 months away.

Looking forward to it espically the Roadmap, hopefully they might give us more details on BES5 than previous events. Were lucky that we have two people going (Me for the Tech & Dev side and the boss for the DR & Security stuff) and the agenda is split nicely for us.
As Boxtone are the sponsers I'm hoping to get a Demo of their monitoring software as its hard to visualise. I'm also hoping that the Pen Drives are bigger than 128MB with the money that these guys are making they can dig a little deeper this year :D

I hear ya! I'm Government as well and I had to squeeze some arms to attend due to budget. But damn, I just noticed you're from PEI! that would've meant flight and accomodations so I see why it would be a budget concern. Luckily I'm just 15 min away from the location of the seminar.

for the big corporations, built-in failover/disaster recovery model. potential of over-the-air software installations. improved monitoring. these are just the rumors. some are great additions for those corporations looking to rid themselves of extra costs for third-party solutions for monitoring and DR/HA support.
