I wish future firmware revisions would allow the phone to select the frequency band that the phone will operate on via SIM card.

I wouldn't mind being able to get on AT&T's 3G with the SIM card in my Tour, even though GSM is fine for what I need it for.

Well the Tour, and Tour2 doesn't have the frequency chip to support the 3G bands for either at&t or t-mobile USA anyway. Although it is a "World Phone" it does support the GSM bands

Sorry to beat a dead horse, but I found this on BB's website. Does this mean the phone comes with all bands ready to go?

we already determined IN THIS THREAD, that the device is physically capable of both. but internal settings/software determines which bands are "active" and so far us users don't have the ability to change that
