Hey,
Just made the leap from the iPhone to the BB.
What next, well I guess a little
How did I get here? might do the trick...
When I first saw BBs I thought they were dog ugly! But then I was still using your basic candy bar sony-ericssons etc. My move to the Smart Phone world was a bumpy one, a couple of Nokias with the Symbian OS - basically symbian did not do it for me so I jumped back to your basic SE candy bar phone. (Oh I should point out that I'm a Mac (and back then, a Linux) user so the Windows phones didn't even get a look in!!
I saw the iPhone launch and thought this is amazing. This is a game changer and it looks lush. I bought a first gen iPhone and loved it - I really did. Those first ones with the metal case are amazing but lack 3g...
I upgraded to a 3gs last year, loads more room, really great phone, I'm not gonna knock the iphone, it's awesome, but for me it got a bit too much of the same old...
Eventually I started to get bored with my iPhone, yes there are some bad bits like the reception and the camera (specifically, no flash...) but to be honest, the biggie for me was that I'd basically had the same phone for like 2.5 - 3 years. It's had a different back, a few more things rammed in but its the same.
So I started looking around. First I wanted a Palm Pre - they look great
but they have no Mac support. I breifly considered a return to the Symbian devices from Nokia, but nope, nothing there, so I looked at these Blackberrys and you know what, I kind of like them. AND they now have proper Mac support!
I'm now the proud owner of a Bold 2/Onyx/9700 - so many names for one phone..
Ok so that's probably the longest 'Im new here' message to grace
blackberryforums...
Cheers,
Dave.
