Apple is opening a store 5km from RIM's head office in Waterloo. Some think this is Apple's jab to RIM however the Apple store location has been in the working for a couple of years now.

I saw on CBC News today that one of things RIM has going for them right now is that all the teenagers use a blackberry to BBM their friends. Apple is planning in the not so distant future to come out with their own messenger for their iPhone; already teenagers have reported as saying they are waiting for Apple to release it so they can switch to an iPhone.

Market analysis have been reported as saying that RIM has positioned themselves as another Motorola phone device which is why they aren't number one in the market place and Apple keeps taking a bite out of them.

Does anyone really care?

The analysts are killing RIM because they don't have a sexy device to keep up with the iPhone or the 'Droids. Do they really need it?

I am happy with what I have because it works, I don't have to mess with it and it does what I want it to do.

I think analyts fail to see how strong RIMs position in developing countries in Asia. Iphone 4 is just too expensive as a phone.
