Hi..

not sure if you storm 2 users are facing this problem which i've been noticing quite ferquently now. when i'm in a call and want to type a sms i can feel its harder to press the alphabets on screen than when i'm not in a call.

any one facing/feeling the same problem please let know...

This maybe address with the next OS upgrade (.428) as I have similar problems.

I did not notice this until it was pointed out in this thread. I do not use my 9520 with a BT headset so I rarely will respond to anything while talking on it but it definitely is harder to type on during a conversation. I did not try while connected to a headset so please give this a shot and post if there is a difference when used this way. I may pair it to my car and test if I don't already have too many phones paired.

i've tried using headset and its the same still hard to press... its a very noticeable difference..hope it gets fixed in next release for 9520 :(....

I think this is due to the "locked screen" while in a call feature. Its to prevent you from accidentally pressing things while the phone is against your face

it happens even if the screen is not locked for e.g when i'm typing a sms this is experienced so its definitely not coz of the locked screen

I have a 9530 flashed to cricket and i want to update to .419 but don't want to do a full wipe on my bb thus losing all my flash info...how do i save all my service books so i can restore service after os load

Raptor hit the nail on the head. The handheld "locks" the screen while in a call to prevent accidently key activation with your face. You can still use the touch screen for other things but it will seem more difficult.
