I downloaded and installed this 5.0.0.341 leak this morning, used the same procedure I have used everytime that I have upgraded an O/S.
This time though when I run apploader, only options I get are to install/uninstall third party apps. Nothing about loading new O/S?
Looks to me like when comparing the S/W installed on the PC and my phone (BB 9520 running 5.0.0.306 UK _ Vodafone) it's doesn't think this S/W is compatible?
Don't worry all sorted now. managed to get 341 loaded by forcing it to do so. All upgraded and running now, although GUI appears to be running slower than 306. Will wait and see how it goes.
You have to have both .306 and .341 installed on your PC.
Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9520AllLang_v5.0.0.306_P4.2.0.113\java\ and create a folder naming it "removed" (for safekeeping).
Now, remove all files from the .306 java folder to the "removed" folder.
The .306 \java folder should be empty.
Then , go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9520M_v5.0.0.341_P4.2.0.146\Java
Copy ALL contents of the .341 \java folder over to the .306 \java folder.
Delete the vendor.xml file as normal.
Run loader.exe and you are good to go.

i'm having the same issue when upgrading 9500 to 4.7 to 5.0 it just shows 3rd party application not the 5.0 upgrade. my question is will these step be compatible for 9500 4.7 to 5.0 upgrade?
