Question A Couple Issues.....

Please Login to Remove!

1. My Pearl randomly (as of lately) deletes messages and my call list. I read something somewhere about a huge memory leak and to correct this by doing the SHIFT LGLG trick. However, my pearl still erases stuff :(
2. Is there a fix for the battery cover being loose and "bulgy" around the latch?

thanks

not sure about the battery cover.....but if the Pearl starts deleting stuff randomly its usually due to low memory on the Pearl. Check your memory under Options>>>Status...and if its less than 1 MB (not sure how many kilobytes that is...i think its 10,000.....) then delete anything not wanted on there....like language support and anything else you can think of.

Asuandy,
Best bet is to start getting rid of things you don't need. If you have lots of pictures, thats a good place to start. If you've added 3rd party applications, that's another. Also, going to >Messages >click menu key >view folder >phone call logs. Highlight the date and select "delete prior." There are many ways to free up memory. Alt +LGLG is only one small thing and probably won't do much for you. Keep searching for "memory leak" and you'll find much more information.

To help the the battery cover feel mose secure you can put a few business cards in between the battery and the cover. The extra pressure from inside should tighten things up a bit. BTW I found this in another thread. I take no credit for this answer.

Also do a phone restart occasionally and reboot it. That will clear out some stuff.
