Question SIM Card Regected

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all! My 8700R is by far the best phone I've ever had, much better then the previous models I've had.
I wonder is you guys can help me with a few things. First, some times my BB says "Sim Rejected". When this happens I turn off the phone pull out the sim and put it back. This fixs it. But why does it happen?
Also, sometimes for no reason or warning the screen goes black and the L.E.D turns Red. I'm unable to use the phone for a couple of minutes.
This happen in the midle of calls sometimes. Why?
I look forward to a response.
Thanks Guys

My BB has said SIM Card Rejected a couple of times. I assume it is because the phone "lost contact" with the SIM card. I tried cleaning the contacts, but it has happened once since then.

The last time it happened I was sitting in a meeting and not moving around very much so motion didn't cause the SIM to loose contact with the phone. I was wondering if somehow I had been sent an over the air SIM update or something.

Turning the wireless off and on seems to fix the problem.

If all else fails, remove the sim card, use the eraser off a lead pencil to clean the sim card and the phone contacts

sometimes also it may be cause of the sim may not be as compatible as a newer sim, happenes from time to time, or you just may have a bad sim which sometimes can go bad depending on which type of sim it is
