Is it worth it to go from the 8700g to the BB Curve by tmobile?
Just what are the benefits and what can I look forward to.

I use the BB mostly for Data.

Thanks

The 8320 Curve (T-Mobile) has WiFi and a camera. It's great.

UMA. Gives you a backup way to call and get BB services deep inside buildings and while traveling overseas.

Thanks a bunch.

I went and purchased one and it is great, but seeems I have to return it because the 'x' key is stuck - have to really hit it to get it to work, very annoying.

thanks again

no qualms about recommending the update. i did it just this week. the curve is cinderella compared to the the 8700 as ugly stepsister.

better display, keyboard, louder audio, better battery life on the same battery, media, removable storage, camera, 3.5mm hp jack, !wifi!, well, the list goes ever on.

i still (only had mine a few days) have trouble with the trackball though. i had developed a grip habit so i could hold alt and press the side key to step through the applications and using the escape key on the front instead i can't get used to.

i just wish i'd done it sooner.

Wirelessly posted (7130e: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I went from the pearl to the curve. I haven't regreted it one bit. I love it. It's everything in one device.

yeah, i hear that hundreds of iphone users are so happy about at&t being their carrier they are paying hundreds of dollars to have their phones unlocked so they can go elsewhere ... [g]

just kidding. i live in the middle of dfw and have terrible t-mobile coverage both at home and at work. i was in a target store in the middle of the metroplex and had no coverage whatsoever--wifi or edge.

i've been with both at&t and t-mobile and t-mobile has by far the better customer service in spite of having too-rigid rules in some cases. which is why i guess i can tolerate their spotty coverage.

face it--they all suck to some degree. when it was just ma bell she sucked too, but then there was no choice whatsoever except to move to russia.

Thanks for your input. T-mobile service seems to be ok. They do have the great data plan for 29 unlimited!

But I am enjoying the curve. I am already used to the trackball and love the full qwerty, I could never do the suretype like on the pearl.

Camera is great.

THe best part is the wi-fi, sooooooo fassssssssssssst. HOt spots all over the place on Long Island, so its really terrific.

Thanks

If i live in long island NY I would probably stay with TMobile but I am on road alot so i stay with ATT because their coverage is great same with ATT Partner too When i had Sidekick 3 from tmobile it alway had X on coverage everytime i drive to south all the time so i decide to switch to ATT and never had problem with same road i drive every month and love it best coverage and their service

I have nothing against Tmobile but their service sucks. If Tmobile put more tower and better coverage I might go back to TMobile with Curve because I am tmobile customer for 5 year with Sidekick 1 sidekick 2 sidekick 3
