Hello all,

Has anyone else noticed that assigning a number of custom ring tones to your contacts takes up a lot of memory?

I recently did this for about 20 contacts (from ring tones stored on my memory card) and saw my free memory drop from about 10MB to 5-6MB. I thought I was just having a memory leak issue, but on a hunch, I unassigned all my custom ring tones, and my memory jumped right back up to 10MB (without any resetting/pulling of battery).

Anyway, it just seems odd to me that assigning ring tones would take up so much memory! Is my 8830 just being quirky?

Wow, really interesting. It will be good to test on others and see if that drives down the memory as well.
