How and where do we check that the
1)IBM Lotus Domino server has permission to run agents
2).IBM Lotus Domino server has manager-level access to the mail files for BlackBerry device users (required to display read or unread message status on the BlackBerry device).
3).the IBM Lotus Domino server contains connection documents from the IBM Lotus Domino servers in the domains from which it replicates.
4).Turn on directory assistance for all the domains in your environment.
5).Verify that the IBM Lotus Domino server is a member of the LocalDomainServers group in all the domains in your environment.
6).Verify that cross-certification is established (at a server or organization level) between the messaging and directory servers in other domains.
7).Verify that the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is physically close to the messaging servers.

You can find the answers to #1 - 6 in your Domino Administrator Help. If you don't have the Domino Administrator loaded on your workstation, then you probably shouldn't be attempting to install BES.

If you need further assistance with your Domino questions, you should use one of the Domino Forums

#7 is just trying to get you to install your BES on a Domino Server that is NEAR your mail server to provide the best performance.

u must be a domino administrator in order for you to understand all the requirements. otherwise, i dont think its possible to guide you in this topics. the domino administrator should know.

I'm guessing that you've been asked to install a Domino BES and don't have much experience of Notes / Domino...

Probably the easiest way to get some familiarity with Notes and Domino concepts is to download the demos for them that IBM have on their web site, go through the pre-reqs and do the installation of two Domino servers (two so that you can understand how they communicate with each other) and a Notes mail client. Be warned that it's 90% pre-reqs and 10% install though; it's likely that you'll want to image the servers before starting so that you can restore and try again if you go down a blind alley.
